The 75-ball game version of Bingo is prevalent in North America and Canada, and is more or less similar to its sister version 90-ball game which is widey played in the UK and parts of Europe and Australia. It is similar to 90-ball game in that the players purchase cards/tickets, the RNG randomly picks out the numbers which will be displayed on the screen. And, each of those numbers that occur on players' cards is auto-daubed (marked automatically) until a certain pattern is created. The first player to accomplish that is selected as the winner, and their username is displayed to notify all the players.
A 75-ball game bingo card has the word 'B-I-N-G-O', each letter representing one column, on the top. This was so designed to make it easier for the players to locate the called numbers on their cards. But, of course, you are spared all the hard work and stress it takes to locate and daub the numbers on your tickets, if you're playing online Bingo. Each card consists of 25 boxes, formed by 5 rows and 5 columns, out of which 24 are numbered 1 through 75 in no specific order.
The remaining one box called as 'Free Space' is left empty in the centre. However, there is a number system followed that assigns a certain set of numbers to each letter or column. They are assigned as follows:
- B - 1 to 15
- I - 16 to 30
- N - 31 to 45
- G - 46 to 60
- O - 61 to 75
Being knowledgeable about the number-set falling under each letter, before playing the game, would be a smart way to increase your efficiency in the land-based Bingo games.
There are two ways of winning the game in this version of Bingo – achieving a pattern (which varies from game to game) and clearing all the numbers in the ticket.
Pattern – This type requires you to achieve specific patterns, and the first player to do so gets to be the winner. The pattern changes with each game.
Due to this type, 75-ball game has far more variations in comparison to the 90-ball game. In fact, the number of patterns can go up to as many as one can think of, in various Bingo sites.
Full House or Coverall – The first player to complete all the numbers in the card gets a Full House
The reward amount for Full House is more than Pattern.
It is a common notion among people, owing to some patterns that consist of only four numbers, that pattern bingo generally finishes up within no time. But, this may hold out for quite some time considering there are 75 numbers in the game. And, you may have to wait it out until your four numbers are called.
Although more popular in North America, it is played and enjoyed by several players across the world.
